The project is a conversation.

A conversation between images. Alex is a video maker who creates works as a documentarian and I as a painter make work that builds up narrative through paint and images. Finding a common ground of narrative in images, we began with the idea of sharing images and responding in kind. I would start by making a painting and sharing the images of the painting with Alex, he then would respond by making a video of his surroundings that was inspired by my initial painting, and back and forth we would go. This is an unusual time to build connections, or maybe this is a time to build connections in unusual ways. Whatever the case may be this project represents this conversation in images, spanning distance, mediums, and language.
